Tony Roberts – 7 – Another reliable performance. Could do nothing about the goal. Kicking could have been better, but can’t argue too much.

Scott Griffiths – 8 – Scotty’s form has improved of late and this was another solid performance from the young left back. Won most of his tackles and is looking better at going forward. Hopefully he can keep this form going.  

Anwar Uddin – 7 – Looking very strong lately and had to be to deal with Dickinson. Thought he did well and never looked out classed. Looked good in the air and once again, very consistent lately.


Jon Boardman – 5 – Not on for long as he was substituted early on for tactical reasons. Been poor lately in other games and was the right one to go off.

Ross Smith  - 6 – Played ok. Looks to throw himself around but doesn’t win all his headers. I can’t see how he got man of the match but didn’t have a particularly bad game.
 
Danny Foster – 5- Struggled for a lot of the game and not his usual self. Seemed to struggle with his distribution and made a few silly errors.  Needs to tighten up and get back to his best

Dave Rainford  - 5 – Substituted early in the second half. After such a good game Tuesday I thought he was particularly poor. Needs to close down oppo quicker as lots of times their midfield had a good run at our defence.

Glen Southam – 6 – Worked tirelessly but struggled to make and impact from the right. Needs to play in the centre to have more of an impact on the game.

Peter Gain - 6 – Looks to pass the ball in this team and looks calm on the ball, but plenty of times we could have broken away and he slowed the play up which didn’t suit us. But when match fit will be a good acquisition

Jamie Taylor - 6 – Worked hard but didn't have as much of an impact on the game as we would have hoped. Struggled at times but not helped by us lumping balls up to him for sixty minutes.

Ben Strevens  - 7 – Works very hard for the team and puts in a lot of effort. Had good chance in second half to equalise but hard chance considering the way he was stretching for the cross.

SUBS:

Ryan Hall - 6 – Looks like he can beat a few people but again a few errors from the youngster. Never really had a good run at their defence and worked reasonably hard. He did miss an absolute sitter but still worth a go.

Jon Nurse – 5 – Switches off too much but put in good cross for Strevs. Needs to improve if he wants to break back in the team.
 
Shabazz Baidoo – Looked reasonably sharp and quick but didn’t have much time to impress. But I’m sure he will be worth a start in games to come.
