Tony Roberts - 7 - Made 3 excellent stops early on which kept the Daggers in the game and could do little about the goal. Still slow to come of his line which sees us defend deeper than we need to. 7
Magnus Okuonghae - 6 - Is pretty solid if unspectacular. Can get too tight to his man at times which sees him get turned often. Was pulled all over the place by the experienced Lee and never really imposed himself on the game. Sam Sloma - 5 - Was restored to a position out wide on the left but never influenced the game. Seemed lost. Jon Boardman - 6 - As with Magnus, struggled with Lee and Dudfield, even when the visitors were reduced to 10 men. Seems to lose lots of defensive headers which is a worry for a big man. Shane Huke - 7 - A decent effort from Shane, never hides. Had a couple of efforts around the box where he should have done better, worked hard defensely. Sam Saunders - 5 - Been out for a long time and it showed. Out of position so often in the first half, it was a surprise he came out after h/t. Good that he is back, starting the game came to soon however. Glen Southam - 6 - Looked tired. He has had to carry the midfield for most of the season and it showed on Saturday. Took his goal well but gave up possession at times a little cheaply. Jon Nurse - 8 - Emerged with a lot of credit. Worked hard for scraps in the first half and won the penalty for the goal. Wins lots aerially. Paul Benson - 6 - Had little to feed off but allowed Nurse to do the majority of the work up front. Like most of the team, seems to take time to find his feet in games, needs to be more forcefull. Anwar Uddin - 6 - Still playing at right back but had a decent game today. Lost little in the air but is a little limited at times on the floor. As skipper, didnt grab hold of the game when we were under the cosh. Marlon Patterson - 6 - Does what is asked of him but had a tough task today as Saunders went missing for large chunks of the game. Distribution seems good. Subs:
