| FA Cup Beveree Stadium Saturday 10th November 2007 | Benson 68 Huke 83
Strevens 90 | Tony Roberts - 9 - The evergreen keeper was again superb in this game. A spectacular save to keep the scores level and looked in superb form again.
Scott Griffiths - 7 - Played well and did his job well. Looked a lot more at ease at this level but still not at his best. Hopefully this will give him a boost with his confidence.
Danny Foster - 7 - Nothing special again but did his job and steady as always. Another one who didn't look under to much pressure. Range of passing could have been better though.
Jon Boardman - 8 - Had a very good game and looked to good for this level of football. Never let anything pass him and looks like the rock we need at the back. Hopefully he can carry on this form into the next game.
Ross Smith - 6 - Looked ok but struggled at times with the pace of there number ten. Went off injured early on in the second half and didn't look to good for the next game.
Dave Rainford - 7 - Put in a lot of effort and helped to give us that bit of bite back which was definitely needed in a cup game like this. Still room for improvement.
Shane Huke - 7 - Improved as the game went on, his passing was poor at times. However he scored a wonder goal which killed of the tie and helped to move us in to the scond round.
Glenn Southam - 7 - Looks better as one of two in the centre rather than on right but did the job that was asked of him. Worked hard throughout the game and put in a lot of effort.
Sam Sloma - 6 - Was very average again and didn't seem to find his level through the game. Definitely struggling this year and was subbed for Strevens on about sixty five.
Paul Benson - 7 - Looked a bit nervous at the start and didn't seem at his sharpest. Grew into the game more as it progressed and as he does best scores the goal which gets us on our way.
Chris Moore - 8 - Had a fantastic game and played very well seemed to always cause their defender problems and just lacked the goal to help boost his confidence.
SUBS: Anwar Uddin - 7 - Come on with twenty five minutes left and definitely looked at ease as he looked to win his place back. Formed a good partnership with Boardman and hopefully we will see this on Saturday.
Ben Strevens - 8 - Was exceptional when he came on and his presence helped our attacking options. This was shown by the assist for Benno's goal and scored the third himself. | |
