Ed Thompson - 6 - Had little to do but his handling is pretty sound and delivery from the hands pretty good too. Question marks over his marshalling of the back 4, will improve though with experience. Scott Griffiths - 7 - Did what he had to do well, consistently strong in the tackle, does things with the minimum of fuss. Might have snatched the points with a low shot late on. Danny Foster - 7 - Solid again, seemed to get forward more this time out, delivering a few useful balls into the Grimsby area. Did what was required defensively. Jon Boardman - 7 - Did well, made important block late on and generally marshalled centre-forward North comfortably. Looks to play when he can. Anwar Uddin - 7 - As with all his troops, looked pretty solid and easily cancelled out what threat Grimsby offered. Sam Sloma - 7 Better today from Sam. Got himself in the game from the start, used the ball intelligently at times and was unlucky not to score. Protected Griffiths well defensely. Sam Saunders - 5 - Frustrating today from Saunders. Gave the ball away too often, didnt seem to know what to do with possession in the final third. One to forget. Glen Southam - 8 - Excellent today from Glen, controlled the game for the Daggers with some clever passes and was unlucky not to score.
Shane Huke - 6 - Probably not his most effective of games, certainly dosent shirk responsibility though. Should do better going forward, will need some goals from him. Jon Nurse - 6 - Works hard and wins plenty in the air. Dosent get into enough threatening positions yet, hence his low goal return. Subbed. Ben Strevens - 8 - Excellent, allong with Southam was the best player on the pitch. Works very hard, keeps hold of the ball and provides us with an out-let. Unlucky not to score.

Jamie Taylor - 7 - 20 minute cameo and almost won us the game. Looked sharp and direct, deserves more of a chance on this showing. |
