| Football League 2 Victoria Road Saturday 6th October 2007 | | Dagenham Player Ratings vs Darlington Tony Roberts – 6 -Wasn’t a great deal Robbo could do with any of the goals and did what he could in the face of a 2nd half onslaught. Distribution was ok if not spectacular, needs to be more commanding in our box though.
Scott Griffiths – 6 -Steady but came under constant pressure in the 2nd half. Guilty of panicking with clearences under pressure, as were all the back 4. One outstanding goal-line clearance.
Danny Foster – 6 - As with Scott, under constant pressure in the 2nd period. When on top in games we must use Scott and Danny more on the over-lap to utilise space and stretch opposition back lines.
Anwar Uddin – 5 - possibly his worse game a red shirt. Looked off the pace from the start and was roughed up by Blundell and Wright. Did make an exceptional tackle in the 2nd half. One to forget
Ross Smith – 7 - You know exactly what you get with Ross. Doesn’t lose much in the air and tackles hard. Tried to make the difference going forward in the 2nd period. Needs to be utilised more from set-plays
Sam Saunders – 7 - Sam has been our most consistent performer all season and today was no exception, trying to take the game to Darlo and having our best attempts on goal. Once he has got his initial fluffed crosses out of the way, his delivery gets better
Shane Huke – 5 - Was pulled all over the park in the 2nd and barely got a kick. Often wasted the ball when in possession and has a tendency to rush things. Still does his best to spoil the game but needs help in there.
Dave Rainford – 5 -As with Shane, was made to chase shadows and barely got a kick after half hour. Likes to play too many ambitious balls and regularly caught in possession by a sharper side.
Glen Southam – 5 - Works hard but totally wasted on the left. System lacks balance
Ben Strevens – 5 - Never got going, needs to be more direct.
Chris Moore – 6 - Should have scored in the first half, created a few openings through persistence. Will find it easier when we stop hitting 70 yard clearances to him at head height!
