Saltergate Saturday 20th October 2007 | | | Tony Roberts - 10 – Easily our best player out there and kept the Daggers in the game. A string of good saves throughout the match including in injury time and he fully deserves all the plaudits after this effort.
Scott Griffiths - 6 – Another average display by young Scotty looks like he is trying to hard but like all of the defence struggled throughout the game.
Danny Foster – 6 – Probably one of the better defenders but still nothing to write home about. As Chesterfield run the defence all over the place throughout the game. Anwar Uddin - 6 – Another performance from Anwar not up to scratch. Had problems coping with the pace of the whole of the Chesterfield team and didn’t look at this best yet again.
Ross Smith - 6 – Did a reasonable job but another player who coped with the pace of the Chesterfield team. Also his marking from the early corner was poor which led to the early goal.
Richard Graham - 6 – Plenty of potential there when gets fit, tired very quickly near the end a few bright sparks and put in a lot of effort for the daggers cause.
Shane Huke - 6 - Off the pace throughout the game and not the same Huke we saw at start of season. Struggled very much early on but slowly got himself back into the game.
Glenn Southam – 8 – Exactly what was needed he has been a very good performer this year. Worked his socks off and set up the goal with a brilliant through ball. Looks every bit a league player.
Sam Sloma - 5 – Not at all at his best and looked like the weak link to our team, kept losing the ball and wasn’t causing any problems down the left. Very poor needs to brighten up a bit.
Paul Benson - 8 – Exactly what was needed back up front bit of pace and urgency helped the daggers showed us exactly what we missed. Scored the goal which got us back on terms. Should have won it near the end but hit it straight at keeper.
Ben Strevens - 7 – Strevens worked very well up front with Benson and held the ball up well throughout the game. A lot of strength and did the job which was asked of him.
SUBS:
John Boardman - 6 – Only on the pitch for a few minutes did what he had to and wasted time with the substitution
Chris Moore - 7 - Looked sharp coming of the bench and performed very well when come on with Benno. Plenty of pace and looked like he could cause them some problems.
