Tony Roberts - 7 - Made one incredible stop late on from corner and his handling in first half was superb. Just looked a little shaky during the Brentford onslaught later on, and his kicking was not at it's best, probably due to the wet conditions. Danny Foster - 7 - Solid as always. You never notice him a lot of the time which for a defender is often a good thing. Got caught out of position a little in build up to Brentford's first goal, but got forward better than he has for lot of season. Scott Griffthis - 8 - Very impressive. Got forward more than any other game this season. Helped us create numerous attacks down our left. Also remained solid in the second half when home side attacked down his channel. Ross Smith - 7 - First half superby, snuffing out the home attacks and winning everything in the air. Second half as Brentford came at us strongly he just looked a little roughed up at times, but generally pretty good. Anwar Uddin - 7 - As with Smith. First half looked very assured but late in game became a little roughed up. However, as skipper he helped to weather this storm and put us back in control for the last 10 minutes. Shane Huke - 9 - Turned in the sort of performance every team needs away from home. Big, strong and spoilt everything. Also cracked the post in the first half and had the assist for Moores goal. Sam Saunders - 7 - Sam looks better with each performance. Even when not able to influence as much going forward he always sticks to his defensive duties. It was his cross for Strevs goal. Subbed near the end, tatical.
Glen Southam - 6 - playing out of position on the left but doing what he has to for the team. Kept his position better which provided more balance. Still gets through a tremendous amount of work, especially with our backs to the wall in the 2nd period
Dave Rainford - 8 - his best performance of the season. In the spell after half-time he dictated the game and was rewarded with a goal. Wasnt found wanting even as the boys had to dig in. Scored a Penalty
Ben Strevens - 7 - his pairing with Chris Moore has struggled at times but tonight they hit it off, pulling the Brentford back 4 in all directions. Got into good areas out wide and more importantly, caused problems around the box. Scored
Chris Moore - 7 - As with Strevs, didnt shirk his responsibilities for the team. Worked tirelessly against his former employers and rounded off a good display with the clinching goal. Subbed at the end to kill time (7)
