2

Arber 30
Strevens 79

Tony Roberts - 8 - Made an excellent save from Conlons penalty and apart from a nervy few minutes before half-time, was generally composed. Counter-attacking kicking was superb, some place kicks not so but one brought about the killer second goal!

Shane Huke - 7 - Returned in place of the injured Foster, did what was required. Found it tough in the quagmire in the 2nd half but apart from one slip did well. Tired late on and was replaced. 7

Anwar Uddin - 7 - Annie is thriving alongside the calmness of Mark Arber and is almost back to his best. Winning everything in the air and using the ball well, he looks a leader. Always throwing his body on the line.

Ross Smith - 7
- Plays as the stopper in this system and does the ugly stuff well. Maybe should have had another goal to add to his effort at Grimsby in the first half too.

Mark Arber - 8 - Class. He is the sort of bloke every team needs. There are no thrills with Arbs, its all about the job in hand. Scored one, saved one, all round leader too.

Scott Griffiths - 9 - Best player on the park. Series of crunching, well timed tackles and an assist saw him as the stand out player. 3 blocks in a minute in the 2nd period put the icing on the cake.

Glen Southam - 7 - Intelligent use of the ball and hard work sees Glen with many admirers. Should have capped this display with a goal. Helped us take the game to the Bantams in the first period.

Dave Rainford - 6 - Tough afternoon for Rains. As the game became stretched, Rains was constantly chasing the ball. Vital header for the second goal though.

Peter Gain - 7 - Like Arbs, you cant under-estimate the impact Gainy has had. Cool, experienced head, and he had to use all his skills Saturday. Intelligent with the football too.

Jon Nurse - 7 - This bloke runs, runs and then he runs some more! Loved the wide open spaces of Valley Parade, would be nice to see his efforts rewarded with a few more goals. Partnership with Strevens has really matured.

Ben Strevens - 8 - He just keeps doing it. Capped a fine, hard working display with a typical strikers goal. Another nail in the coffin for all those doubters.
