Dagenham continued their rich vein of form this evening as a hard-fought victory over Hereford saw them increase the gap over the relegation threatened sides.

Both sides were unchanged from weekend victories and the Bulls came to Victoria Road with their eyes firmly set on top spot in the division. The early exchanges, certainly in terms of possession were dominated by the away side who looked to pass the ball crisply to work openings. It was the more direct style of the Daggers that fashioned the first opening though, Strevens missing from a Nurse cross. Then Foster struck the angle of post and bar from a Strevens cut-back. The Bulls almost conjured a lead from Southend loanee Gary Hooper whose over-head kick was luckily straight at Roberts. Hereford seemed content to hit the Daggers on the break and it was from a corner for the home side that Anwar Uddin had to use all his pace to thwart the on-rushing MacDonald.

Up to the half-time whistle though, Dagenham started to produce the games best moments. They thought they had scored when Brown in the Hereford goal fumbled a Strevens header but was relieved to see Johnson behind him on the line to hack the ball away. The opening goal came right on half-time and it was Dagenham who grabbed it. Southams strong run was ended with a shirt pull by a Bulls defender, and he picked himself up to deliver the set-piece into the box. Although the initial kick was cleared, Ross Smith delivered back for Foster to superbly head home.

Theo Robinson was introduced after the break for the Bulls as they tried to make an instant response but in fairness, they only conjured long range efforts from Rose and MacDonald. In fact, the Daggers should have doubled their lead when Nurse latched onto a poor clearance from keeper Brown but saw his effort saved by the custodian. Dagenham were sitting off the Bulls as manager Graham Turner threw on his other 2 subs to try and force something from the game against a tiring home  side. The closest they came was through Gleeson who dragged wide a Hooper cross when he should have done better. Strevens tried his luck from distance as the game petered to an end, the Daggers more than happy with another excellent 3 points.
