Dagenham fell to a second consecutive defeat, for the first time this season, as Northwich contrinued their impressive recent form at the Victoria Statdium.

The Daggers still looked a little tired after the title party/parties, and in the end this showed in the second half.

Robbo was back in goal and Rains was back in midfield, while Arbs was out injured, so Jake moved to centre half.  Sloma and Strevens were used just behind Benson in a new look formation.

The visitors started well, but they only ever created half chances before Strevens spurned the best chance of the half for Dagenham when he headed weekly after Southam's cross.  At the other end Robbo made a stunning save from a header, but I couldn't see who it was!!!! Jake was also called into action as well to hack of the line as the half drew to a close.

After the break the home side started to take control and it was no surprise when they took the lead.  Good work from the Northwich right back saw him cross low into the box where after his initial effort was blocked Dean tapped in from close range.

The Champions tried to get back in the game and Paul Benson had a shot deflected over before Dave Rainford managed to put the ball 12 yards wide from 10 yards out!!!  And soon after that the home side put things out of reach when Brayson, just on as a sub, latched on to a through ball and expertly dinked the ball over Roberts.

Moore and Saunders were introduced to try and liven things off, but it was to late and the Daggers limped to their 7th defeat of the season.  Once again, no lack of effort, but that intensity and bite was just not there.
