| Preview | | Opposition Kidderminster currently lie in 19th place in the table following a 4-2 loss at Aldershot town in their last outing. Results of late have been mixed with good home showings against Grays and Oxford following poor performances at Halifax and at home to Crawley. Harriers are presently managed by Mark Yates and their squad includes some former big name stars. Former Ireland International Jeff Kenna has made several appearances for the side this year, while the squad also includes former Derby and Wolves striker Dean Sturridge. Sturridge has been injured for most of the season though, and is unlikely to line up against the Daggers. The main scoring threat is likely to come from Iyseden Christie. He bagged a brace in Saturday's defeat and also caused Dagenham no end of problems in the Harriers' 3-1 victory over the Daggers in the Midlands last season.
Past Meetings Honours were even last year when the sides met. Harriers outclassed Dagenham to win 3-1 in the Midlands in December, but the Daggers gained revenge in April with a 3-0 home victory. Looking back further, The Harriers knocked the Daggers out of the LDV Whatever It's Called back in October 2002. A side including Peter Shilton's son proved way to strong for a weakened Daggers side and ran out 3-1 winners. Before that the last meetings between the two sides were back in the 95-96 season. The two clubs fortunes were heading in different directions around that time with D and R soon to fall into the Ryman League and Kidderminster soon to take their place in the Football League. Things have changed a lot since then!!!
Crowd Kidderminster are not the best supported side in the league but despite this I would estimate they will still bring around 100 travelling fans with them. With West Ham and Spurs not in action till Saturday the Daggers faithful may be swelled some what?? I would estimate a total crowd of around 1,500.
The Sieve will be more spacious in one area as the Upminster Daggers are Match Ball sponsors for this fixture and will be taking their seats on the other side of the ground!!!
Prediction With no midweek fixture this week the Daggers should be refreshed after Saturdays victory, and apart from Tim Cole and Lee Goodwin, should have a full squad to pick from. Their home form of late has been excellent with 7 wins in a row in the last few weeks. Harriers are no pushovers over though and John Still will have to ensure his side are at the top of the game if they are to make it 8 home wins in a row. I would go for a home win by 2 goals to 1.
