The Daggers face a tough task this Saturday as they host Burton Albion at Victoria Road. Burton are currently 4th in the Conference table and on a good run of form. Burton are managed by former Forest and Liverpool legend Nigel Clough, and so the game should be one of the most entertaining so far this season.

| Preview | | Opposition Since promotion to the Conference in 2002, Burton have generally spent their time in the middle of the table. On a couple of occasions they have flirted with the bottom end of the table, and once or twice they have looked like making a push for the play offs, but generally they have performed to a similar level as the Daggers in the last few seasons. Most people will remember Burton's fantastic cup exploits of last season where they held Manchester United to a draw at their sparkling new stadium before bowing out at Old Trafford. Burton's form of late has been excellent despite bowing out of the FA Cup at the weekend, with a somewhat surprising 2-1 defeat to fellow Conference side Tamworth. Their last two league games though produced 2-1 victories at home to Stevenage and away to Halifax. The main scoring threat will no doubt come from ex Boston scummer Daryl Clare. Clare is instantly dis-likeable for the fact that he played for Boston, in two spells. But he is also dis-likeable as he is pondlife!!!! For these two reasons Clare is sure to get a bit of stick from the Daggers faithful!!! Past Meetings Results between the two sides have been mixed in the last few seasons. Last year though, the Daggers had the best of it, with a 3-1 victory at Victoria Road and a 2-2 draw at Burton late on in the season. Crowd With this being a top of the table clash their should be a decent crowd. Daggers attendances this season have been good, with the last two home games seeing crowds of over 1,800 and 2,600 respectively (although this was the Oxford cup game!!). Hopefully the poor performances in those games will not put off the casual attendee. A number of other clubs in the area are playing at home, which may knock off a few potential customers, but I still think the home attendance will be ok. Burton are not the best supported side in the league, but they do have a pretty loyal band of away followers, a bit like the Daggers. Even in seasons when they have not been doing to well they have bought over 100 with them, and so with them flying high in the table I would expect them to bring over 200 and the overall crowd to be around 1,600. Prediction It's a tough one to call, with both sides going well. Daggers last home league game was a poor showing against Kiddie, and they weren't at their best at Rushden despite result. However, they will be refreshed after a break from competitive action and raring to go again. Burton will be smarting from their cup reverse but have the quality to get over this quickly. I have been pretty pessimistic so far this season, but that has been working well for the Daggers so I will got for an entertaining 2-2 draw!!!
