PRE MATCH

As with most home games the meet was arranged for the Essex Yeoman Public House for a pre match drink and a few games of pool. With Middle starting well early on it was down to the Las Vegas bound Deadbloke to bring him back down to earth and that is exactly what he done. Also in there we watched Pompey help ruin Big Time's accumulator and Beast took part in eating a massive all day breakfast this time no sausage was taken. As soon as the Pompey match was over it was off to the ground. Leaving a water rat behind at the station due to the fact he hadn't got a ticket before. Once getting to Dagenham jumped on the bus with about twenty Welsh people who jumped on thinking the bus was free.

ATTENDEES
A very good turnout amongst the Upminster Daggers considering it was just before Christmas and it was pouring it down with rain. Usual lot Middle, Stu, Deaders, Browns, and Doggy. The semi regulars Count, Beast, and Savo. The surprising few were Big Time who was only out  because of the boxing and Rat Boy (His attendance was believed to have been because his girlfriend was working)  Homer met us on the bus down there wearing a fashionable flat cap and Winkle finally made it out.

CROWD
Very poor crowd for a big relegation battle and with Wrexham bringing 350 it made our attendance look a bit pathetic,  with only 1500 there overall.  With all the rain and Christmas coming  up this might have been the reason for the disappointing crowd but hopefully this will improve with better results.

MATCH
Very good result for the Daggers.  After a few changes it seemed to work and Dagenham looked bright from the start. But it was an own goal that set Dagenham on the way. After the break Dagenham seemed to sit off a bit and this allowed Wrexham to control the game for about twenty minutes of the second half without causing much trouble. Before super sub Ben Strevens scored a wonder strike anyone would be proud off  and  Jamie Taylor scored the third in injury time to help Dagenham earn the much needed three points.

POST MATCH
After the game it was back to the pub for the majority to watch Reading defeat the not so mighty Liverpool. This gave a lot of delight to us apart from the Rat who is a Liverpool regular. After this people went off in all different directions to prepare themselves for a long night watching the Big fight this was however over in 72 seconds. So the majority stayed up to watch the small matter of Ricky Hatton's  battling display with Floyd Mayweather.....
