| PRE MATCH
Normal meet for a Saturday home game in the Yeoman. Stew and Chappie were late, trying to arrange a suitable vehicle for Monday's trip to Wrexham. They were delayed further when Chappie did not read the small print of the hire conditions, and forgot to take the appropriate documents!!! Browns was also late, stuck en route back from Alton Towers!! The rest of us were able to watch the very dull encounter between Spurs and Pompey, decided by two late Spurs goals. Then on to the tube to the game.
ATTENDEES
A pretty good turnout. The Big Four were all present, as were Gobless, Saviloa, Browns and Skippy. Oh and Winkle was apparently there to, but standing down the front. Not sure Daggers v Shrewsbury in these conditions appealed to anyone outside of the regulars!!!
CROWD
A crowd of nearly 1,700 which was not to bad considering. Shrewsbury bought 261 hardy souls with them who made some decent noise while getting cold and wet on the open terrace!! Attendances have been ok in the last few weeks in my opinion, and we may yet get to the "budgeted" average of 2,300.
GAME
Awful!!! That is not a criticism of our players or anything like that, but this was pretty dire stuff. The first half especially saw very little of note from either side. Shrewsbury came for a point but were gifted the lead from a set piece. After the break the game, and especially the Daggers improved, and Benno struck on his return to the squad to gain us a valuable point.
POST MATCH
People headed off in all different directions. Stew off to dinner, Middle and Chappie to put themselves through more pain at the ice hockey, Count went home, and Saviloa, Winkle and Dogva went to put themselves through more pain by going back to the Yeoman. Winkle apparently boring everyone to tears with a conversation about Bobby Gould!?!?!? Roll on Monday!!!
