PRE MATCH
Meet time was agreed as "from" 2.30pm in the pub.  This meant Hoggy was there at 2.30 and nobody else was.  People arrived at various stages, including the two drivers for the either, Winkle and Chappie, with bus.  Once all 10 travellers were in attendance it was on to the bus for the two hour trip.  It might have actually been a little bit of a quicker journey if our hired vehicle wasn't set to a restricted speed of 62mph!!  Mr Mack had kindly bought along some portable toilet facilities (those special bags which prisoners are given on their journey to the slammer), but some people had stage fright when using these so a quick stop at Cambridge Services was needed.  We eventually arrived at the ground at around 6.30 but parking took 10 minutes!! We originally parked in one spot was told we needed to move it as we were over a fire hydrant.  We made our way to the Peacock pub for a few beers with the Halfway Line boys and a few other Daggers fans before making our way to ground at just past 7.30.

ATTENDEES
10 made the journey.  Regulars Middle, Stew, Dogva, Winkle, Chappie, Gobless and Browns (he is a regular now), semi-regulars Hoggy, Bobby and Beast and a second appearance of the season for Bert.  Absence notes received from Saviola who was bust at the Queens Speech, and Skippy who is back in Vegas.

CROWD
A crowd of just over 4,200 was present, which is just on the Posh's average.  I would have thought with them playing well there may have been a few more, but clubs at this level really seem to be struggling to get their attendances up.  233 Daggers made the trip which I thought was a top effort on a Tuesday night.  I really think our away attendances are standing up pretty well considering our form and the fact we have more mileage to cover than anyone else in League.  Good noise from the travelling fans as well, but not much from the home fans until the last few minutes.  Most sides seem not to generate much noise at home in this League??

MATCH
For an hour we looked ok and were leading, although maybe slightly against run of play.  However, the last 25 minutes we were overrun.  Benno did well for his goal and Southam and Huke did not stop running, but Peterborough were just to good for us at the end of the day and their quality carried them through.

POST MATCH
Straight on the bus and heading back home.  Winkle was driving and a sign of things to come was his off road tactics to get out of the car park!!  This along with the earlier beers combined to upset the stomach of one of the travellers, leading to some chucking up and needing several plastic bags to avoid him causing a mess which would left us losing our deposit on the bus.  Browns was cramped in the corner of the bus and entertained everyone as though he was on an X Factor audition while Hoggy and Dogva strapped themselves in to avoid being thrown about by the driving which resembled an Alton Towers ride.  With the A14 being partly shut the journey still took two hours even at that time of night and it was gone 11.30 when we arrived back in Upminster.  Some of the  boys opted for the Alishan, while some opted for their pits!!
