PRE MATCH
Amazingly Chappie Cabs arrived on the dot at 8.30 for this long haul North.  With attendees and resources very limited, the car was the best option, with the petrol price between four of us just about being affordable.
Car journeys are dull, and so there is not really a lot to say about it, unlike some train journeys.  The highlight came when we stopped at Stafford Services on the M6.  The place was like a football meeting point.  Firstly we saw two people from Plymouth driving to Burnley, making our journey seem like a ride to Southend for the day, then several Watford fans going to Preston, several Mancs going to their game (some things always get ruined!!), and then the Cambridge City team and officials heading to their Trophy game at Droylesden.
After that it was onwards to Morecambe where we arrived at about 1.30pm, so we had made good time.  We headed for the famous York Hotel just along from the ground, and was given a warm welcome as we had been told to expect.  A great place for a pre match beer or two, and as ever the Morecambe fans were top people.  Mind you, the Landlord was not happy with the Daggers fans who had not shown up to take up the rooms they had booked (he won't be pleased if he gets hold of you!?!?).
From there it was a brief stroll to the ground and in at 2.50pm.

ATTENDEES
The Big Four only yet again.  Third game in the last five where only these four (Middle, Dogva, Stew and Chappie) have been in attendance.  It means they pull further away at the top of the appearance table.  Excuses were numerous for non attendees.  Count has actually given up giving us excuses such is his poor turnout, Sav was not allowed, Browns was washing Fiona's hair or something and Beast has not been seen since the Wrexham game (strange that one??).

CROWD
A crowd of over 2,700, including about 65 Daggers.  Morecambe's crowds have just about doubled on average since last season, and fair play to them.  Amazing what some invention and positive thinking can do for the feel of a place!! The Daggers 65 was a few more than we expected, and fair play to all those who set out on the coach at 7am that morning!!!

GAME
I can't even bring myself to write about it I am still so gutted.  The boys were superb.  We controlled this game, especially in second half, more than we have any other game this season.  I really couldn't see where they would get a goal, and we probably looked the more likely.  Then one lapse of concentration in the 92nd minute and the point is gone.  Not sure how many more of these I can take!!!

POST MATCH
Well, we left the ground and none of the four of us said one word to each other until we got to about Stafford on the M6!!  I was scared to say something in case I offended anyone!!  Then Man Yoo were given an apparently horrendous free kick in the radio commentary game (from which they scored) and we were off again, arguing, moaning about everything etc, and things were back to normal!!  We text 606 to mention our late goals record, and amazingly our text was read out!!  She then made things worse by adding on to the end of it that we have only won twice in the last sixteen league games (very helpful of her!!).  We were to fed up to stop for food so just stopped for petrol and with DB driving like Lewis Hamilton we were back in Upminster at around 9.10pm.  A couple headed for a quick drink in the Yeoman, while the other two of us went home to sulk!!
