REPORT
Last week's new style of report didn't seem to catch the public's imagination so we have returned to normal reporting structure this week! So lots of dull and repetitive stories about playing pool, drinking and eating!! Enjoy!!

PRE MATCH
Well, guess where we met?!?  Yes, you guessed it, in the pub.  Official meet time was 12.31 but several struggled to make this, especially those who had been out on the end of season cricket drink up the night before!  Chappie arrived and immediately started beating everyone at pool.  This may not seen strange to most of you, but what you have to take into account is that Chappie has absolutely zero sporting ability, and plays his pool shots in a position which looks like he is sitting on the toilet!!  We also took in the England Womens World Cup Quarter Final, where they performed pretty well until the England keeper produced a Paul Robinson like display to ruin the good work and help the USA to a 3-0 win.  Having made our way to the Station we then had to wait 15 minutes for a District Line train and so arrived at the ground just in time for kick off.

ATTENDEES
Not a great turnout from the UDs.  Middle, Winkle, Dogva, Stew, Chappie and Gobless were there from the regulars and Saviola was also in attendance again having enjoyed his trip to Notts County the week before.  I don't think he realised there was not a Hooters Bar outside Victoria Road!!!!!

CROWD
Our lowest of our 4 home games since entering the league, at just below 1,600.  Also the lowest away support so far, by some distance, with Bury bringing 179 fans. They were also the quietest fans ever at Victoria Road, even more so than Forest Green or Southport!!!!  Two renditions of "Hey Oh Bury" apart, I forgot they were there!!!!  Good atmosphere in the home section, especially in the last 10 minutes of the first half.

MATCH
Well, you can read about this in detail in the Match Report, but I thought we were awful for the first 35 minutes, and then by far the better team for the rest of the game.  We also seemed in the second half to have stumbled across a system which may actually work at home of 4-3-2-1.  However, we desperately need someone in and around the area who is going to make sure how possession and territorial advantages are not wasted.  The low point of the afternoon though was half time where some crazy poet opened himself up to ridicule by strolling on to the pitch and reading his poems out!!! Apparently he is going to every ground in the country, so be prepared!

POST MATCH

Most people headed off in different directions, and it was a pretty quiet evening.  A few headed back to the pub but nobody was really out for a late one.  A fairly quiet afternoon in general really!
