| Pre Match - Following the misery that is Christmas day at home the UD's were not looking forward to going to league 2 hovel and regular loss venue Barnet. Meeting at 11am at the station for an awful train journey into London and back out on the tube. We did learn from Browns though that the District line was going slowly because a lot of people were on it and the extra weight makes the train slower - knob. The journey wasn't too bad with all necessary changes being made with a minimal wait and was livened up with discussions on how the graffiti artists had managed to get into the stations in central London for hours to cover every surface with poor signatures (I believe the urban term is tags). Once out in North London a brief stroll from the station to the ground saw us arrive just in time for kick off. Attendees -
5 UD's made the trip, all regulars - Middle, Stew, Doggy, DB and Broons. The Beast pulling out on the day due to a forehead injury he had incured when colliding with a thumb, Count out long term with the same injury - it's getting as bad as metatarsals! Crowd - A solid 400 away day Daggers turned up in tinpot town for the game and will wish they hadn't.
Match - Awful, can't relive the 78 minutes I saw as I may lose the will to live.
Post Match -
Another sedate journey back on the underground, excesses of the season had obviously taken their toll as it was a direct home effort from all involved - this could have had something to do with the football witnessed as well though. | Dagenham vs Barnet: Match Report | Match Day Report | Player Ratings | Match Photos |
