PRE MATCH
Well the long pre match build up started early for this long trip up North.  Dogva, Cabbage (formerly known as Saviola) and Stew meeting in Upminster at 11 before making their way to Euston for a few pints, while Middle was required in work in the morning so arrived at Euston just in time for the 13.35 to Manchester.  Train was surprisingly packed, and the card school was off due to a lack of appropriate seating.  Stew drew the short straw and had to sit with Cabbage for two and half hours!!!!  Branson's finest now move pretty quickly to the North West and we arrived before 4pm.  A quick stroll round the City Centre to get our bearings and then into the Waxy O'Connor's Bar in the Victoria end of town.  After several phone calls from Shaun of the Dead he eventually managed to read the signposts and find us, and after a couple more beers it was on to the local train from Victoria to Blackburn.  By now the earlier nice weather had cleared and it was freezing and raining as we discussed the fact the away end was uncovered at Accrington.  Stew had a good chat with a Bolton fan who was more depressed with life than us, and we pulled into Blackburn just before 7, and then jumped in a cab to Accy.  We eventually located the Crown pub near the ground which was busy with home and away fans, and then just about managed to cross the marsh land behind the away end to find the turnstiles.  The steward gave us the good news that some covered terracing had been given to away fans, and it was also nice to find a Club charging sensible prices for League Two football, £13.  On entering the ground we met the Rangers fans who have also taken the decision to follow us as their English Club!!!  Little did they know what they had let themselves in for!!!!

ATTENDEES
Just four, plus associate member Shaun.  Middle, Dogva, Stew and Cabbage.  Excuses were rubbish.  DB was spouting on about saving the World's Economy, Browns tried coming up with an excuse about work when everyone knows Fiona wouldn't let him go, Count was at an Irish wedding fair, and Winkle is still recovering from the drive back from Wrexham!!!!

CROWD
Well, not sure if Accy thought playing on a Friday would help their crowd, but it didn't!!! Just over 1,200 were present for this classic.  However, the 100+ attendance from Dagenham was a pretty good effort on a Friday.  Just a shame the team didn't bother turning up!!!

GAME
Well, awful would be kind.  We were bad, they were not quite so bad.  Each team created about 3 chances each, they took one of theirs.  Our 150 long throws into the box created nothing, and we then took off our only creative player at 1 down.  Basically a load of rubbish, and we are only lucky everyone else lost or drew the next day.

POST MATCH
We needed to be back at Blackburn by 10, or we had a two hour wait for the next train.  So the cab not turning up until 9.46 wasn't a great start!!! However, he drove like Chappie in his old days and got us to Blackburn station at 9.59 and after a quick dash through the station, we made the train by a matter of seconds.  A very depressing journey back to Manchester took about 50 minutes.  We then searched for somewhere appropriate for a few drinks. Cabbage came up trumps by forcing a bloke on a street corner to give us a wad of drinks vouchers for the nearby Brannigans.  The place was a bit of a dive though, so as soon as the £1 a drinks vouchers ran out we were on our toes.  We then ended up over the other side of town in some place called Pure.  We were probably the oldest people in there by about 10 years!!!  However, this did kill plenty of time before our train, and Cabbage entertained us all with his usual drivel.  Having been the last people out of this dive at 3.15am we then managed to find somewhere open selling food near Piccadilly station.  Shaun left us here to get his 3.41 back to Sheffield but the rest of us managed to stay in this place till 4.05 which was a good thing as it was freezing outside.  Eventually we got to Piccadilly at around 4.30 and the driver of our 5.05 to London eventually decided to let us on the train.  Everyone was able to grab some kip until we reached Stafford and 100s of West Brom fans boarded for the trip to Wembley.  Cabbage even managed to sleep through all this!!!  We arrived in London just before 08.30 and most people headed straight to bed!!!
