PRE MATCH
With the cricket season finally over, it was back to the football season, and the normal lunchtime meet in the Yeoman.  Some things never change in life, and this place was full of the normal weird and wonderful mix of punters for a Saturday lunchtime.  Most were there to watch the Man Yoo v Liverpool game.  It was a game which was typical Premiership, even though the media would disagree.  Lots of excitement, but not always much quality.  In the first half nobody seemed able to pass the ball five yards.  With no trains from Upminster to anywhere at weekends at the moment, we had to find two drivers to get us to the ground, but after the night before, for once there was a few volunteers.  Dead was playing hockey (!?!?!) and so was meeting us at the ground anyway.

ATTENDEES
With the cricket season over, UD numbers were up again.  All of the big 4 were eventually present, with Dead being a little late, as were Winkle, Browns, Gobless,  Skippy and Cabbo.  No extras or non regulars really for this one.  Bobby was playing over 45s again, and nobody else was tempted in for this, despite the Daggers recent good form.

CROWD
Disappointing again.  Below 1,700 when the oppo bring over 200 is low.  If we can't get people in when we are near the top of this League, we never will.  I am not sure the Club can do that much more, although I still say prices on the day for youngsters are far to high.  Decent atmosphere in the home section, away fans seemed fed up for most of the afternoon, which was no surprise!!!

GAME
A cracking goal from San Saunders was the only first half highlight, as the visitors spent the next 43 minutes kicking lumps out of the Daggers.  Finally the ref took some action dismissing one of them just before the break.  Into the second half and we looked pretty comfortable until the ref sent off visiting skipper Page for an horrendous challenge on Strevens.  Then we looked nervous playing against 9!!! Finally Nockers came on and scored one and made another for Benson as we eventually pulled away to win 3-0, and bag another 3 points.

POST MATCH
With most people skint and knackered from the previous evening, some took the chance for an early night, especially as no tubes meant no going past the pub!!!  Others ventured to the pub or Club for a few beers.  Unusually subdued!!
