PRE MATCH
The Merseyside Derby provided the pre match entertainment on a sunny Saturday afternoon.  The pub was quite busy for this one, full of plastic scousers who are die hard Liverpool or Everton fans, getting to 3 games a season!!!  Most people had stayed in on Friday night so there was not even any banter from the previous night to discuss, although guests, Harrison and Richardson, provided some entertainment with their stories of the last week.  Oh, and then when we came to go to the game we had to get in cars once again as there were still no trains, for the 5th week in a row.  Shocking!!

ATTENDEES
A pretty good number for this one.  Only 3 of the big 4 were there, DB missing playing hockey for the 12th XI, regulars Cabbo, Browns, Gobless, Winks and Skippy, and then guests Richardson and Harrison, with Richardson using his Lehman's employee card to gain a concession entrance!!!  Him and Harrison were bored before the game so decided to buy home and away shirts in the Club Shop before kick off!!! Oh, and Yoof was present, but he doesn't like being associated with us lot to much!!

CROWD
Nearly 1,900 crammed in for this one!?!?  Still can't get the league attendances over 2,000, which must be a bit of a worry.  Rotherham bought over 300 which was a pretty good effort, although they didn't seem to make much noise.  Home fans in pretty good voice, especially during second half.

GAME
A pretty good advert for League Two I would say.  After a slow start from both sides, Rotherham dominated most of the 1st half and should have been ahead at the break.  In the second half though the Daggers were in control and went in front through a wonderful goal from Paul Benson.  They could have killed the game off after that, but a mix up at the end between Robbo and Magnus allowed the Millers to level.  On reflection, a point was about right.

POST MATCH
Spent first 20 minutes on leaving ground stuck in traffic!! Eventually made it back to the pub but several people failed to arrive!!!  The credit crunch is hitting everyone!!  Middle, Dogva, Harrison, Richardson, Winks, Browns and Skippy all made it, but appearances from Browns and Skippy were brief.  The rest stayed for the excellent Arsenal v Hull City encounter.  Winks then left and it was the final 4 who trawled Upminster looking for someone lively to drink, but eventually gave up and headed to the Alishan to finish the night off!!
