The Daggers have been drawn against the highest placed side in the competition for the 4th Qualifying Round. Conference leaders Oxford United will come to Victoria Road in the World's Oldest Football Competition, with the tie likely to be played on Saturday, October 28th. While the tie is a tough prospect, the game should be played in front of a large crowd with Oxford likely to bring a sizeable following.
The sides have met already this season with ten men Oxford stealing the points from Dagenham with a 1-0 away win. That however was the last game Dagenham lost at home, and they have followed it with 7 consecutive home wins. Other ties of interest see Burton entertain Halifax, AFC Wimbledon travel to Exeter City, Gravesend travel to Jeff King's Chelmsford and Grays entertain Ryman League leaders Bromley. Should AFC Hornchurch somehow manage to get past Welling in Tuesday's replay (very unlikely), they will face a home tie with Clevedon Town or Hitchin Town. |
